Thank you for making our Remodel & Restore Workshop & Home Tour a success!
More than 30 members and friends attended the morning workshop and afternoon home tours. We’re grateful to the presenters, panelists, and homeowners who participated in the event.
This day-long event consisted of a two-hour panel of Wallingford home-owners, contractors and architects providing experience and know-how for those considering or interested in home improvement restoration and remodels. Among the panelists were architect Jeff Pelletier, founder of the firm Board & Vellum, which offers architecture, interior design, and landscape architecture services; Kim Clements, founder of JAS Design Build, located here in Wallingford and noted for many design and construction projects in Seattle and Western Washington; and developer/builder Gary Timpe, founder and principal of Brightwork Builders, noted for a number of remodels, restorations, and new-build projects in Wallingford and Seattle. Jessica Schmidt and Rhonda Bush provided delicious snacks and beverages during the workshop.
In addition to Kim and Jeff, the workshop featured two homeowners who recently completed remodels of their homes (also on the Tour) and a construction and remodeling company that has completed projects in Wallingford and around Seattle.

The Home Tours followed the workshop. In small groups, event participants attended a curated tour of two of four handpicked neighborhood homes to see recent remodel and/or restoration work. Homeowners and contractors described the before-and-after state of the remodel projects and took questions and shared their experiences.
We were thrilled to have neighbors Sam and Walt showcase their Wallingford home during the event. It was recently featured in Seattle Magazine. The owners, with the help of an insightful contractor and color design expert, remodeled and restored their stunning Wallingford bungalow. The outside is meticulous, but the interior was the highlight in Seattle Magazine.
Equally fantastic and with a modern twist on the traditional bungalow was a home redesigned and remodeled by JAS Design Build. JAS honored the traditional style of this bungalow and gave it a fresh modern look with clean design and updating.
We thank everyone who participated and volunteered in this fun event!
